Samson sound deck crack5/29/2023 ![]() I don't have a ton of background, so I think I could get away with a condenser. #Samson sound deck pro upgrade#īut I would rather have a quality microphone and not need to upgrade again later. But I also know from my logitech experience that more expensive does not always mean better. ![]() And if I order a model from Amazon and don't like it, I'm going to have to pay for return shipping, so I'm wasting money no matter what in that scenario. I'm just at a bit of a lose as how to choose. I don't agree in the slightest that it's better than a condenser for up close voice. ![]() Okay, I'm sure you know all of this, but it's not coming across in the message here, so I'll say it for the benefit of others reading - the reason I, and many other people peddle dynamic mics over condensers, especially for people who don't know what they're doing, is because they're harder to get wrong.Ī condenser at a reasonable distance to avoid proximity effect as you would typically have it in a treated studio is going to pick up room noise and ambience like hell, and sound terrible in a room with bad acoustics. We don't know the acoustics of everybody asking for advice, and so we recommend for a common worst case scenario - a boxy basement, filled with hard surfaces. Now, a condenser used within the range you would typically use a dynamic? Sure, in terms of room acoustics and background noise, it's going to be just as good.
